Thanks to our dentists' advanced training, Chattanooga-area patients have the opportunity to combine their dentures with state-of-the-art dental implants. Implants are small titanium posts that replace lost tooth roots. These screw-like devices are surgically placed in the jaw to provide unparalleled denture stability. With implants, your denture will never shift out of place while you chew or speak, which can also avoid gum irritation. Meanwhile, implants are the only solution that can stop the bone atrophy that happens after tooth loss.
During your visit to downtown office, our dentists can assess the health of your smile to determine if implant-supported dentures are right for you.

The Power of Zirconia

At River City Dental, we specialize in providing implant-supported dentures made of zirconia. This advanced material not only looks virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth, but is also the strongest substance used in modern dentistry. The amount of pressure that dental materials can handle is measured in megapascals (MPa). Most men have a bite force of about 175 pounds (1.2 MPa). Zirconia can stand up to 900 MPa. This durability can be especially important if you lead an active lifestyle or work in a profession with a risk of facial trauma.
Stability You Can Count On

Cost of Implant-Supported Dentures
Treatment for a full implant-supported denture at River City Dentistry ranges from $10,00 - $20,000. We can explain these costs, your payment options, and all other aspects of cost during your visit to our offices. Basic insurance does not contribute to the cost of dental implants, but we can work with your insurance provider to secure as much coverage as possible for your denture and any preparatory treatments you may need.
Traditional Dentures
Traditional dentures are the fastest and most affordable solution for patients missing most or all of their teeth. We offer both full and partial traditional dentures:

Full Denture
Full dentures are designed for patients with complete tooth loss on their upper or lower dental arch. They are removable devices that are placed on top of the gums and secured with suction and dental adhesive. While traditional dentures will not be as stable as dental implant-supported dentures, they can improve your speech and ability to chew.

Partial Denture
A partial denture is a removable solution that is secured in place with clasps and a discreet metal framework that connects to your natural teeth. They are designed for tooth loss patients who still have some remaining healthy teeth in their dental arch. During your consultation with our dentists, we can help determine if a partial denture or dental bridge is the best solution for your needs.

Looking For A Low-Maintenance Alternative?
Dental implant-supported dentures stay in place at all times, and can be maintained just like natural teeth. Brush at least twice a day, floss at least once, and make sure to attend your regular six-month checkups in order to get the most out of your implant-supported dentures.
